PHASE 1B & C - Belle Greve Bay and Vivian Reclamation
What we're proposing:
A sympathetic, low-rise development
at Belle Greve Bay to provide
- A sustainable housing supply catering to local market and other needs, comprising 500 waterside residential units over 10 years and which enhances the values of the existing waterfront Bouet properties.
- Option for Vivian, a 24-acre reclamation to provide, at the States discretion, affordable social and key worker accommodation (up to 600 social houses) and land for industry and employment.
- 135 acres of tidal washed seawater lagoons, offering town beaches, private moorings and a safe water sports area.
- An enhanced marine environment.
- 10-year project with major economic benefits to the States of Guernsey through duty, income and tax.
- A £10m cross subsidy to help fund the waste management plant.
- Improved storm and flood protection to meet the effects of global warming on Le Bouet and Les Banques.
- Possible power generation.
